Nautilus Cottage with Views is an amazing property with spectacular views superbly located in a quiet part of Monterosso village, just a short walk along a quiet tree shaded path to Cinque Terre's best beaches, seaside promenade, restaurants and shops.
The apartment Nautilus is a portion of a self standing cottage where another nice apartment with garden and views, named Cyclope, is located, The two properties can be rented separately or together in case of larger family or friends groups. The building is perched on the hill over Monterosso Fegina Beaches, surrounded by the luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation that makes Monterosso so pleasant and enjoyable. Access from the train station is simple, just a short walk from the promenade then, entering la Cantina di Miki gate, following a shaded path uphill, climbing up the stairs with 120 low steps.
On entering Nautilus Cottage is available solely on a weekly or monthly basis for holiday rental and is suitable for a group of 4 people, we find a spacious living-room with two big windows overlooking the sea, and a large balcony with view on the rocky promontory of Mesco. In this room we have a comfortable sofa, armchairs, a dinner table and satellite TV.
In the apartment we have two bedrooms: a double bedroom with a queen-size bed, a twin bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has been recently completely renovated, with bath/alternate shower.
Facing the garden, we have a large kitchen, fully equipped with washing machine, cooker (with 4 gas flames), a big fridge, a stand up table with stools and a small pantry.
The apartment is surrounded by a balcony and a small panoramic garden providing sunny and shaded areas, where everybody can enjoy breakfasts, lunches or dinners and where it's nice indulging at sunset tasting a glass of delicious Cinque Terre Wine. BY TRAIN: Exit Monterosso Railway Station, you will have the beach in front of you. Turn right and continue walking down the promenade. The entrance to get to Villa Monterosso is located about one hundred meters from the Railway Station, just between Hotel “La Spiaggia” and Hotel Baia and next to “La Cantina di Miky” (famous wine bar) entrance. An old iron gate signed n° 90 will be the access to the path to Cyclope Cottage. A short walk up with steps, a traditional Cinque Terre footpath, will lead you uphill to Cyclope Cottage .
In less than ten minutes you can reach the railway station and the most important hiking trails. This property is ideal point for daily excursions on foot, by boat or by train.
The charm of the Cinque Terre is due to the fact that the Cinque Terre are five villages, perched above the sea. They were historically isolated except by sea based means of transport. All the tiny Cinque Terre villages have a train line running through them, so expect to hear the trains in the villages at times. Car access is provided close to all villages by designated parking areas, all village centres are restricted to pedestrian traffic.

Please, notice there are steps to reach this property, The climb is not hard, but heavy luggage might be annoying to be taken up. So, we aware of steps and, if possible, travel light.
