Enjoy nice sea views. Your cottage-apartment is ideal for up to 5 guests and consists of a double bedroom with king size bed, another bedroom with two beds and a comfortable lounge with a single sofa bed, tv, coffee table etc. There are both indoor and outdoor dining areas, a kitchenette fully equipped for self-catering, a shower room, and a patio with table and chairs from where you can enjoy the lovely views over the gardens towards the sea whilst eating and relaxing. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas, just a few minutes walk from the property.
The apartment location offers a tranquil retreat and the architecture throughout is sympathetically designed to traditional Sardinian style. The gardens blend well with the surrounding wild and rugged environment; the immediate area being laced with paths and tracks through scrubland and over headlands, offering fantastic views over the coast. The nearest beach is only a 6 minute walk away via the dedicated footpath. It is nicely secluded, with sand and stones on one side and beautiful red rocks on the other side. Also nearby by foot, La Marinedda beach is a fabulous crescent of white sand surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and described by Bell’Italia as one of the 'sand and water paradises of Sardinia where it is worth swimming at least once in your life'.
Tennis courts for hire can be found right at the entrance to the apartment grounds and further afield there is a variety of beaches and coves, an aqua park for family fun, shops and supermarkets, restaurants, historical monuments, boat excursions, and diving schools. A little further will bring you to a unique hot spring river where you can make your own mud baths and relax on the river bank. Alternatively the adjacent spa centre offers professional treatments and massages.
Pretty towns and villages are dotted throughout the countryside, some catering to the typical tourist and others waiting to be explored with their quiet lanes and unique architecture. History and culture abound and the region is full of interesting sights and places to visit including several nuragh (ancient Sardinian dwellings), the Valle della Luna (Moon Valley, resembling a vast natural luna-like landscape), monuments and churches with displays of icons and rich ornamentation, and last but not least, the famous granite rocks sculpted by the mistral winds, one of which resembles an elephant!
Being the traditional food of Sardinia, some of the finest sea food dishes can be devoured at most restaurants, but menus also offer other Sardinian and Italian delights as well as basic pastas and pizzas for those who know what they like! Additionally your destination is very close to the renowned wine making town of Badesi, with its cantinas and other gastronomic delights, backing onto the one of the longest beaches on the island with lovely, fine white sand.
The Costa Rossa area is positioned in the north west of Sardinia between Castelsardo and Santa Teresa di Gallura in the Gulf of Asinara. We are in a truly idyllic location known for its crystal clear waters, panoramic sea views and incredible natural beauty, with a variety of beaches, pine forests and unusual red rocks. The beach at La Marinneda and the pretty fishing village of Isola Rossa (Red Island) can be accessed across the headlands on foot from your holiday home, and for the adventurous hiker Tinnari Beach makes for a great day out.

I've kept a blog since 2006, with pictures and things that I have done in Sardinia with my family. This includes trips to hidden beaches and interesting places - we like to live like the locals when we're out there. I will gladly share this with you.Get the full listing »
