The tourist apartment Oltrelmare is located in Pieve Ligure, part of a traditional complex of terraced houses in the Genoese style, immersed in the tranquility and green of the olive trees, overlooking the promontory of Portofino.
Recently renovated, the apartment has kept the elements of traditional houses, such as the floors of the upper floor, the marble staircase and the marble sink of the kitchen.
The house, on two floors, is composed, on the ground floor, from the kitchen and a living room with sofa, convertible into a double bed (180x160), while on the first floor there is a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a comfortable double bed (200x180).
The kitchen is equipped with electric stove, built-in hood, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and microwave oven and equipped with everything necessary for cooking such as pots, pans and tools and for eating (crockery, cutlery, tablecloth, towels etc.). You will also find coffee, sugar, and various condiments such as salt, pepper, oil and vinegar.
Oltrelmare provides bed linen (pillowcases, sheets and blankets) as well as towels (mat and towels) included in the price.
Immediately outside the door, of exclusive relevance of the apartment, there is a seat set up with comfortable cushions, on which you can relax chatting or reading a good book.
Oltrelmare is 200 meters from the Pieve Alta car park, which is free and free all year. To reach the house you go through a typical Genoese creuza, rather flat except for a short staircase, however very wide, in the final part.
A private motorbike parking is available, upon request, at less than 50 meters from the house at 5 euro per day.
Pieve Ligure is one of the highest coastal villages of the Riviera di Levante. The ancient nucleus of Pieve, where Oltrelmare is located, is 160 meters above sea level, which allows you to enjoy a priceless view not only on the whole of the Paradiso gulf, but on a wide stretch of coastline that goes from Promontory of Portofino up to the coast of Savona. On clear days it is not uncommon to see the coast of Corsica.
Located at the foot of Mount Santa Croce, which with its 518 meters offers a natural shelter to the town ensuring a mild climate throughout the year, Pieve is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday in all seasons, even beyond tourism summer seaside.
For lovers of trekking, or even just walks in the green it is advisable to walk along the mountain ridges and hills immediately behind the coast in the autumn and winter to enjoy the typical Mediterranean vegetation that remains lush all year.
The name Santa Croce is due to the church of Romanesque origin that is located on top of the homonymous mountain, perfectly preserved and recently renovated.
Easily reachable on foot starting from the Oltrelmare, the top of the mountain is a splendid panoramic point with an open view that extends from Portofino as far as Savona and is a crossroads of paths that lead, in the western direction, up the hills of Genoa and in direction rising up to the Portofino Park. In the square around the church you can enjoy free use of a picnic area equipped with tables and chairs, and a small shelter with a bathroom and wood stove.
The real symbol of Pieve is the mimosa, so widespread that the bloom colors all the hills with yellow and a festival is dedicated to it. The party of the mimosa, held on the second Sunday of February, attracts many curious people for its peculiarity. During the festival, the road that winds through the hill and leads to Pieve alta is closed to traffic to make room for the typical parade of flowered carriages and children in carnival clothes, while, in the splendid setting of the Church square, the mimosa transported by means of a spectacular "strafia" (cableway).Get the full listing »
