This is a very quiet apartment, in an area with little traffic in Via Senzanome. It is incredible to think that there can be a street without a name, until you reach Via Senzanome. The narrow street between Via Saragozza and Via Nosadella has changed over time different names, it was Via Sfregatette because of its small size that forced passersby to touch; then it became Via Sozzonome perhaps because it hosted strange activities. To avoid the two alternatives, it would be imposed via Senzanome and this is how the little Bolognese street is called.
In a few minutes you can reach the beautiful Piazza Maggiore and admire the majestic façade of the Basilica of San Petronio, the Fountain of Neptune, the Palazzo Comunale, the Palazzo Re Enzo and the Palazzo dell'Accursio. Overlooking Via Rizzoli one remains fascinated by the famous Due Torri, the Garisenda and the longest Degli Asinelli; the two towers are the symbol of the city of Bologna, and the advice to spend some energy to climb the 498 steps of the Torre degli Asinelli and then enjoy the beautiful view from the top. A visit to the cathedral of San Pietro, the city's cathedral, with its bell tower from whose top you can enjoy a spectacular view of the square and other towers of the historic center is recommended. The civic museum inside the Archiginnasio palace is right in front of the Basilica of San Petronio.
