Casa Balata is a farmhouse near Agrigento, Valle dei Templi and Scala dei Turchi, but it is also much more.
The ancient structure, completely respecting the original shapes and materials, is the tool to offer our visitors a different experience, out of time and space, a unique experience that aims at the soul.
An enchanted place, among olive trees, native plants and medicines, perfumes and colors, natural paths, land rocks and sea, a place where the only noise is the blowing of the wind, where we preferred to replace the books, a place in which even today, at night, it is possible to admire an extraordinary starry sky, far from any form of light pollution, a place from which to appreciate the fusion between the wonderful and unspoiled Sicilian countryside and the Mediterranean Sea.
Our philosophy, which is reflected in every detail of Casa Balata, is that of strict respect for nature and the environment, and is declined in our choices. For this reason all our agricultural production - olives and extra virgin olive oil cold pressed, citrus, fruit, vegetables and vegetables, aromatic and medicinal plants, are cultivated in an absolutely BIOLOGICAL way and the energy necessary for the structure is produced by our photovoltaic panels .
Even our bio-pool has been designed to be perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment and made of special materials that harmonize it fully also from the point of view of the landscape.
At Casa Balata there is no concept of customer. At Casa Balata you are pampered guests, friends, family.
We prefer substance, simplicity, human relationships to forms.
Casa Balata is the ideal place for those who want to get away from the frenetic rhythms and stress of the city and work by dedicating themselves to themselves, having the opportunity to reach, in a few minutes, enchanted places like the Valley of the Temples, the garden of Kolymbethra and the other wonders of Agrigento, the majestic Scala dei Turchi, the pristine beaches of the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, the Sciacca seafaring and the many small characteristic villages rich in history, culture and culinary traditions.
