Five kilometers of golden and soft sand, clear blue sea and shallow water, ideal for children. La Caletta is a long and wide beach that starts from the small homonymous seaside village, a hamlet of Siniscola, one of the major centers of Baronìa, and extends to the pond of su Graneri. A pine forest surrounds the 'big beach' - so called to differentiate it from the other beaches of Siniscola - almost contiguous with the beach of San Giovanni di Posada: they are interrupted only by the modern tourist port of Caletta, rich in services: sailing school, surfing and diving , equipment rental, departure for excursions by boat or boat.
The coast is often beaten by winds, not surprisingly the 'big beach' is equipped for water sports, including kite and windsurfing. La Caletta offers ample parking, a regular destination for campers and campers and, nearby, there are facilities for all the targets. In the village you will find all the services, including car and bike rental, restaurants, pizzerias and clubs.
For thirty kilometers the coast of Siniscola alternates landscapes of smooth rocks with white beaches. La Caletta occupies almost half of the 12 kilometers of fine sand. To the south is Santa Lucia, another quaint fishing village originating from the island of Ponza, founded around a 16th-century Aragonese tower. Then you will find the 'beach of confetti', s'Ena and Sa Chitta, three kilometers of white sand, closed by rocks near an old lighthouse, off which there is the small Isola Rossa. A little further south are the white dunes and the ancient junipers of Capo Comino. Continuing you can admire Bèrchida, for many the most beautiful beach in the world, then the Oasis of Biderosa, another magical place. It is a coastal forest of over one thousand hectares, the pride of Siniscola for its variety of flora and fauna, which overlooks five bays, including the enchanting Biderosa beach.Get the full listing »
