The elegance and serenity of the home inspires complete relaxation, yet it is located within a short distance of every imaginable island activity.
The home was designed in the Hawaiian Modern style by Vladimir Ossipoff, the islands most important modern architect. Expansive ocean views are had from the kitchen, living room and master bedroom. A covered and furnished patio area blends indoor and outdoor living, which is simply the best way to truly experience the Hawaiian lifestyle.

The entire property is all yours! The house is a private, detached, single family, fenced in, beach front home with no other tenants on site.
We provide guests with a free app that includes driving directions, move in instructions, information about the house and loads of info about our island. We love to share our favorite recommendations with guests, and are available in the office 7 days a week to answer your questions. After hours we use an answering service in case you need reach us about anything urgent.
This property is located oceanfront with friendly neighbors to either side. The beach in front of the home only has about 15 houses on it, so is quite private. South Shore 43 is in an ideal setting near Waikiki Beach, Kahala, and Diamond Head, where world class restaurants and shopping abound. The original and deservedly famous Roy's restaurant is just down the street. The home is 5 minutes from the exceptional snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, and close-by are two golf courses as well as excellent trails for both beginning and advanced hikers. It is located directly oceanfront on Maunaloa Bay, the perfect spot to try stand up paddling or kayaking, and directly in front of the surf break "secrets", which goes off in summer months.
Public Transportation is possible and a bus stop is located just up the block, but we highly recommend a car as there are many spots you will want to see on the island that aren't accessible by bus. Taxis are available in this area if you call ahead, and Uber is now readily available in Honolulu as well.
The state of Hawaii requires both the GET (General Excise Tax 4.712%) and TAT (Transient Accommodation Tax 9.25%) be applied to rent and fees, a total of 13.962%. The Airbnb platform does not currently give us the ability to itemize and charge these taxes accurately. We are in contact with Airbnb regarding this, and hope to have the issue fixed soon. In the meantime, after making a reservation all guests will be sent a separate e-contract with house rules, and will be required to pay the taxes using a major credit card. The house rules are standard, such as no smoking and no pets. One very strictly enforced rule is that we do not permit outside guests; all people on property must be registered. Our homes are intended for the enjoyment of our resident guests and not as a gathering spot for parties or events. This is in order to honor and respect the neighbors - we take pride in being great neighbors!
