The bagel is a bread product traditionally made of yeasted wheat dough in the form of a roughly hand-sized ring which is boiled in water and then baked. The result is a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior.
At KSB we believe that this is EXACTLY what the texture of a bagel should be like, and this is why we follow the traditional, centuries-old recipe to the "T". We make our bagels from scratch on site everyday, seven days a week.

We are not a national chain or franchise operation. We pride ourselves on our delicious bagels, which we make from scratch every day on site. Our dough is made from the finest, freshest, high-quality ingredients and has never been frozen prior to baking.
Nowadays, many bagel shops, especially some of the national chains, have eliminated the essential step of boiling the dough in the baking process and use previously frozen dough to save time and cost. At KSB Cafe of New York, we believe that if you want an authentic and delicious New York Style Bagel - crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside - you have to stick to the traditional recipe.
