Lazy Lightning Lodge is a standout departure from the daily grind. Wonderfully open, the kitchen, dining and living room encourage everyone to join in the cooking while the media room holds a 65 inch flat screen smart TV with Dish, wood burning fireplace and Queen sleeper sofa. Upstairs, each bedroom opens to the wrap around deck with seating areas and a couple hanging chairs (in fair weather) overlooking the pool or into the forest. Vibrant original artwork and distinctive furnishings add to the remarkable character of Lazy Lightning Lodge.
Know Before You Book:
Damage Waiver: The non-refundable damage waiver included in the reservation charges replaces a standard security deposit. The damage waiver covers unintentional damages to real or personal property of the rental unit that occur during your stay. The policy will pay a maximum benefit of $3000.00. Any damages that exceed $3,000.00 will be charged to the guest directly. The damage waiver plan does not cover replacement of missing items, additional housekeeping charges, intentional damage or gross negligence, or damages resulting from a violation of the rules outlined in the Russian River Vacation Homes guest agreement. To ensure that you are not charged for any damages, you are responsible for reporting any accidental damages to Russian River Vacation Homes in a timely manner.

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours:
The maximum occupancy at Lazy Lightning Lodge is 8 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.
There is parking for 4 cars at the top of the driveway. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.
Master bedroom: King bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Third bedroom: Queen bed; Fourth bedroom: 2 Twin beds (cannot be pushed together); Media Room: Queen sleeper sofa.
The first floor uses a Nest thermostat for the central heating system and upstairs bedrooms have portable heaters in each closet. The master bedroom, living room and media room also have wood burning fireplaces or stoves. Firewood is not provided.
The driveway is a one-lane curvy hillside road - mostly unpaved - but no special vehicle is required. We provide detailed written driving directions to confirmed guests.
Lazy Lightning Lodge is a multistory home with several exterior staircases from the ground level to the main living areas deck and an interior staircase from the main level to the upper level where the bedrooms and full bathrooms are located. There is a half bathroom on the lower level of the house. Throughout the property are gravel, stone and mulched walkways that are not paved. This property is not ideal for guests that are not sure-footed.
The pool area is fully fenced with several latching gates. Much of the rest of the property is open forest. There is a fence and gate (last photo) between the house and owner's cottage. The owners will not be at the property at the same time as guests, but we respectfully ask that guests not cross the fence or gate to explore the area around the owner's cottage.
The bathroom in the pool house has a cold (only) water shower for rinsing off before using the pool or hot tub. As a result, it is not included in the total number of full bathrooms in the listing.
The vintage, 1970s-era, pool has a brick and flagstone surround with a decorative boulder that are not soft under bare feet. There are stairs and a ladder to get in and out comfortably. The pool is not heated.
