-- THE PROPERTY --
Master Bedroom: King Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Family Suite: 2 Full Beds, King Bed
Within the great room, guests can congregate in the large open kitchen, eat at the big dining room table, or chat and watch the flat-screen Smart TV with internet streaming. Oversized windows bordering the great room let people adore the views even while indoors. And an expansive deck provides a quiet place to study plants and wildlife over a morning cup of coffee.
Before bed, put on your bathing suit and take a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Located just off of the living room, the hot tub offers a soothing place to soak your sore hiking legs.
The master bedroom features a king bed and big operable windows to let in fresh mountain air far from city lights and noise. The attached bathroom is equipped with a lengthy granite countertop, 2 sinks, and walk-in shower. The second bedroom offers a queen bed.
The third bedroom is an amazing space. It is designed to sleep up to 6 people in what is called a 'family suite.' At one end of the sitting area is a big arched window displaying a “million dollar” view looking out to Lake Granby and the Indian Peaks Wilderness.
Be sure to spend some time outside during your stay. Whether you choose to simply relax on the expansive deck or dine al fresco, your mountain surroundings are sure to inspire.
-- THE LOCATION --
Only about 15 minutes away from the house is Lake Granby, the third largest body of water in Colorado. Along the lake shore, there are boat launches, marinas for renting and docking boats, picnic areas and places to fish.
About 20 minutes north of Lake Granby is Grand Lake which is the largest natural lake in Colorado. It, too, offers places to picnic, fish and rent boats or paddle boards.
The village of Grand Lake has been entertaining guests for over 150 years. Along its main street is an old-fashioned boardwalk on each side leading to shops and restaurants and even a theatre for live Broadway-type shows performed each night in the summer.
Right next to Grand Lake is Rocky Mountain National Park which hosts Trail Ridge Road, the tallest paved continuous highway (Highway 34) in North America. This national park is home to large populations of moose, elk and deer which can be seen along the highway.
