This family friendly home is perfect for your Glenwood Springs vacation! The home is a great option for two families vacationing together or a large extended family getaway! Renter must be 26 years of age.
This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in a quiet neighborhood. There is a large deck with a gas grill and a fenced in backyard for outside entertainment. Backyard games are provided, such as horseshoes and badminton, for friendly competition.
The home sleeps up to 10 and has two separate living spaces.
The main level features a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed and a full size futon. There is a nice bathroom with tub/shower also on the main level. The kitchen has just about everything you can think of; including a coffee pot, crockpot, blender, microwave, toaster, etc. We have plenty of glassware, plates, silverware and cookware. Cook breakfast in the fully furnished kitchen or walk to the 19th Street Diner, just a few blocks away. The diner is my husband’s favorite place, a must on our visits.
The downstairs features two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and one with a queen-size bed. The lower level also has a bathroom with shower. The downstairs den has a TV, dart board, and a 4 games in one foosball table, that includes air hockey and small table tennis. There is a laundry room also located downstairs. Sheets and bath towels are furnished, as well as a limited supply of toiletries.
A short distance from downtown, the house is centrally located with easy access to shops, restaurants, hot springs, spas, adventure parks and more! Leave your car in the driveway and walk (.07 miles) or drive to the RFTA Lot and ride the bus to local attractions or all the way to the Aspen Mountains! The house is approximately a half mile from the Roaring Fork River, with its extensive bike paths. This in-town location brings you the best that Glenwood Springs has to offer!
In the winter, enjoy nearby world-class ski resorts including Aspen and Snowmass, or local ski favorite Sunlight Mountain.
.• Please use EXTREME caution if it snows! The driveway and walkways can get very slick. If it snows and the snow melts then refreezes it can be very, very slippery! We have a container of ice melt just inside the mudroom door.
In the warmer months there is hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, paddle boarding, kayaking, and paragliding for the adventurous. For fly-fishing enthusiasts, fish your heart out on the Gold medal waters on the Crystal and Roaring Fork Rivers, just a few blocks away. And remember to bring your bathing suits and beach towels for a visit to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool or Iron Mountain Hot Springs, located only 2 and 3 miles away.
The rates posted are for rental of all spaces described in this listing.
A note about the owners: Our home is in Alabama, but our two children, Tommy and Vida live in the Glenwood area with their families, which include our 6 grandchildren! We use this home several times a year and have found it very comfortable. As you can see by the name of this house, we are big fans and alumni of Auburn University. War Eagle! If you are a fan of the SEC, rest assured we have the SEC channel.
