Your vacation spot Aufham is a small hamlet outside Eggstatt, between Salzburg and Munich and near the Chiemsee (Bavarian Sea). The wonderful landscape in the middle of meadows and forests can be explored on numerous cycling and hiking trails and bathing enthusiasts can let off steam at the nearby swimming lakes. Everyday stress and hustle and bustle don't stand a chance in this paradise.
Your apartment has an east-facing balcony so that you can enjoy the sunrise or end the day.
At our family business you will get to know life on the farm with its cows and calves, chickens and roosters, cats and rabbits and typical products such as milk, eggs and honey.
On the deck chair you can relax and watch your little one play on the sandpit with playhouses, swings and slide or cheer on when using a bobby car, tricycle and pedal tractor.
A nice barbecue evening is fun for everyone, but the cozy apartment offers enough space even in bad weather.
No matter how you want to spend your vacation, the Chiemgau can (almost) meet all expectations, regardless of the season. Surrounded by down-to-earth warmth, you can simply be human here.
Bathing fans enjoy the 17 natural lakes of the Eggstätter-Hemhofer lake district (oldest nature reserve in Europe) or do all kinds of water sports such as sailing, kayaking, pedal boats or motor boating on the Chiemsee.
Active health care or wellness is possible in the neighboring Bad Endorf in the iodine thermal spring.
A mountain tour rewards you with a fantastic view and a hearty snack on one of the many alpine huts, but of course you can also easily reach the summit by gondola, cable car or cog railway.
Small children's hearts beat faster on a trip to the fairy tale park, wild animal park or summer toboggan run, while the teenagers can look forward to a tour of the FC Bayern stadium or the salt mine or prove their skills in the climbing forest or on the mini golf course.
Those interested in culture are drawn to the King Ludwig Castle on Herrenchiemsee, Frauenchiemsee Monastery, Seeon Monastery, Amerang Castle with arboretum, Burghausen or one of the many museums.
Musical events of all kinds (e.g. Castle concerts, summer music, festivities ...), local theater, knight festivals, traditional events or interesting exhibitions (e.g. in the Lokschuppen 2012: Tiefsee) leave nothing to be desired.
As you can see, there is always something new to discover, whether you want to spend your holiday here for the first time or have been loyal to Chiemgau for a long time.
