The Reagan House was newly renovated and listed for the first time in October 2018. The Reagan House is nestled in the Nantahala National Forest region of the Smokey Mountains about 5 miles east of the Appalachian Trail surrounded by Scenic Mountain Views, Winding Roads, Hiking Trails, Waterfalls and the Seasonal Leaf Changes.
Nearby: There are numerous outdoor activities like hiking the Appalachian or Batram Trail, bicycling, enjoy scenic waterfall, and more; golfing at two local courses; river tubing; white water rafting; horseback riding; zip lining; fishing; winter tubing; ice skating; and skiing. The Nantahala Hiking Club is across the road from the Reagan House. Additionally indoors you can experience friendly laid back mountain culture through Native American and Appalachian Cultural Sites and Museums, local performing arts centers, other music and entertainment venues, antiquing, curio shopping, unique dining establishments and The Fun Factory Amusement Center.
Inside: The Reagan House was recently remodeled and offers four bedrooms (three queen-size beds and one full-size bed), three bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, sunroom, large game room, laundry room, a small office area and a mountain view. The Reagan House can sleep 11 with current furnishings. Entertainment available includes a Wi-Fi connected TV with DISH Satellite Service. Ping pong and air-hockey in the in game room. Along with board games and reading material in the sunroom.
Outside: The Reagan House provides a scenic mountain environment with gas grill, wood fire pit and covered outdoor seating/dining areas. During the early evening you will often see fireflies. Dawn and dusk may provide glimpses of deer, rabbits and other wildlife. Off street parking supports 6 to 10 vehicles including a One Car Garage and a Covered RV Parking with electrical and water hook-up.
