Restored stone farmhouse, contemporary interior, large pool, garden and Wi-Fi
Residence “Le Tilleul” is a restored farmhouse, named after the mature Linden Tree growing in its grounds, ideally situated between the two beautiful villages of Ansouis and Cucuron in the ‘Sud Luberon’ countryside. The house has been carefully renovated and extended to provide light and bright living spaces, retaining the Provencal aspect but with a modern look and feel.
“Le Tilleul” offers 220 square metres of living space, made up of 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a downstairs toilet, two spacious open plan living spaces, a fully equipped modern kitchen, dining area and utility room.
It will comfortably sleep 9-10 people and is great for a large family or 2 families sharing.
As you enter the house into a large entrance hall with sweeping, stone staircase, to the left you will find the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with comfortable sofas, TV and DVD player. The kitchen/dining room opens up onto a courtyard, across which is an outdoor, covered dining area.
To the right of the entrance hall is another large living room with exposed beams, sofas and a desk. Behind the living room is an en-suite double-bedroom, with doors that open onto a small terrace and garden.
Upstairs are 4 more bedrooms (with A/C); 2 doubles en-suite, a twin room (the beds can also be arranged to make a double) and a single/small double room with a sofabed, as well as a separate bathroom with 2 basins, bath and separate shower.
The master bedroom benefits from a terrace with stunning views over the garden and the beautiful countryside and vineyards to the south; an ideal setting to watch the sun set!
Le Tilleul is set on 2 hectare grounds with a large, solar-heated swimming pool (8 x 12 metre, with a shallow area which kids love!) set within spacious and well maintained gardens, with ample terraces to lounge and relax and a young orchard with a variety of fruit trees, an outdoor cooking area with a wood burning pizza oven, barbecue and dining area.
The property is easily accessible and an ideal base from which to explore Provence with its picturesque villages and gourmet food markets, sample the local wine at the vineyards along the ‘Route des Chateaux’, sample the fresh local cuisine at the many nearby restaurants, go on long walks or cycle rides in the beautiful countryside.
The towns/cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Marseille are also within easy reach, all within half an hour to an hour drive.
Slightly further afield, but worth a day trip, are the Camargue with its lovely sandy beaches, wild horses and flamingos and the stunning Gorges du Verdon where you can hire canoes or electric boats to explore the gorges and swim in the crystal clear mountain water.
This is a lovely part of the world in which to breathe freely, unwind, relax and let your troubles slip away…Get the full listing »
