Originally an old barn, the house is built of dry stone and fits in perfectly with its natural surroundings, a park of three hectares of Corsican maquis stretches down to the beach.
The entire house has the charm of historic houses, while providing modern todayâ€™s comforts. The integrity of its original design has been carefully preserved. The renovation has kept its distinct features like the solid wood ceiling, terracotta floors, and walls made of dry stone. The ambiance is one of true authenticity.
The large central living room, opens through tall windows onto a south facing terrace. The space extends into the kitchen which is fully equipped, in the purest Mediterranean style. The view over the bay of Valinco is breathtaking, enhanced by the presence of the indigenous aromatic vegetation and the cicadas. You can choose to have lunch in the cool blue-white tiles of the kitchen or on the terrace table which is delightfully shaded.
A hallway leads to three bedrooms, all equipped with two single beds which can connect to form a King Size (180), at your convenience. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with walk-in shower, separate toilet, and a dressing table or wardrobe.
The first opens onto the south facing terrace, which serves the room as the lounge. The second faces towards the eastside of the house, by a large window overlooking the greenery. The very spacious, master bedroom, has its own terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.
A comfortable outdoor lounge is protected by large umbrellas and allows you to enjoy the balmy evenings, while watching the reflection of the lights in the Propriano water. The garden is beautifully lit at night, thanks to carefully concealed lights installed beneath the terrace. The result is spectacular.
To the west, you see the emerald tiled pool, surrounded by stone as a natural basin hidden in the countryside. To bask in the sun, there is a wooden deck with lounge chairs inviting you to laze away from prying eyes.
Lastly, to fully appreciate the treasures of the Island of Beauty, a small shady path of 200 meters, takes you to two very small secret beaches, white sand and crystal clear water! A true pleasure!
This villa is ideally situated 6 km from Propriano to discover all the beautiful beaches of southern Corsica. Enjoy a lovely boat trip, visit the picturesque villages or take a hike in the beautiful mountain.
You can come by ferry from Marseille. To arrive by plane, you have the choice between the airport of Ajaccio or Figari, each of which are 60 kms from Olmeto.

Visit the church in which the procession of the 'Catenaccio' and continue the road to reach Tizzano, a lovely little fishing port where you can enjoy a delicious fish soup on a suspended above the crystal clear turquoise waters and terrace.
Six miles away is the picturesque village of SartÃ¨ne with its narrow streets that run between the authentic gray granite houses. The central place where most people find themselves is on the terraces of the cafes that surround the pedestrian shopping streets. Visit the church in which the procession of the 'Catenaccio' and continue down Tizzano road and you will reach a lovely little fishing harbor. Here you can enjoy a delicious fish soup suspended above the crystal clear waters.
Allow yourself a full day to discover a jewel in the extreme south: the city of Bonifacio, built on a steep white cliff. A boat trip will allow you to visit the caves in the cliffs or the Lavezzi islands classified as a nature reserve. You can also choose to refresh in the mountains and follow one of the many trails in the forest site Bavella ...
