Slightly further, are three stunning towns including the hilltop town of Cordes-sur-Ciel, which was recently voted Frances favourite town. Then there is the picture postcard town of Saint Antonin Noble Val, next to the river Aveyron, with a lively Sunday market.
The large town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue (20 minutes), a 'Bastide Royale', hosts the unmissable Thursday market, one of the largest in France and is bursting with local produce.
Should you be looking for adrenaline fuelled activities during your stay then we can provide details of what is on offer in the local area, including kayaking, horse-riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, or 'go ape' style tree climbing, all a 15 minute drive away.
