Chateau de Canisy is situated on 300 hectares of parkland in Normandy, located between the D-Day beaches and Le Mont-Saint-Michel. It offers luxury en-suite rooms with free Wi-Fi access, each uniquely decorated to reflect different periods in French history.
First constructed in the 11th century, Canisy is a historic monument of France. Each room is spacious and sumptuously embellished with seating area, lake or garden views and en-suite marbled bathroom with bathtub. A continental breakfast is served daily offering delicious pastries, our own marmalades and homemade fresh orange juice. Hot plates can be served upon request. You can also enjoy a traditional 4-course gourmet French lunch or dinner, prepared by the chateau's chef (reservations required). All dishes are prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients from the region, and the organic apple juice and cider are produced from the Chateau's own orchards.
Dinner can be served in one of four dining rooms, or an alfresco barbecue can be arranged in the summer time by the shimmering lakes. Wine tasting is available and a personal tour of the property may be arranged. The Chateau also has two bars and a private nightclub built in the cellar.
Bicycles are provided, and other activities include archery, fishing, tennis and horse riding. The beautiful Normandy coast with its fishing ports and marinas, seaside golf courses, Bayeux, and its famous tapestry, and the Christian Dior house, are all less than an hour's drive away

The 'Chateau' is located on the Cotentin peninsula, in the heart of the Normandy bocage, at about an hour (by car) from the Mont Saint Michel and the D-day invasion beaches.
The property is surrounded by 600 acres of farmland and forests and sits on 36 hectares (88 acres) of gardens with three large ponds. The estate park has all the ingredients needed of a tranquil domain conducive to relaxation, contemplation and conversation. Guests may meet to work, chat, stroll in the park, go around the property on horseback, play tennis on site, or golf nearby.
Guests can also meet inside for a drink in the warm, polished atmosphere of the 'grand salon', or in the more relaxed French billiard room.
This is a family residence, striking in its charm and authenticity. Each room have been decorated with much care and is a set of furniture and paintings reminiscent of past times: the libraries abound with history, the woodwork; draperies and family portraits are all tokens of past centuries. The fires crackling in the fireplaces adorned with the family's coat of arms and the opulence of the interior design and furnishings creating a warm, relaxed and refined atmosphere.
The 'Chateau' counts 3,000 sqm of living space, and can accommodate up to 30 guests in its 18 bedrooms/suites and their staff in an independent apartment available on request.
The interior decoration mixes, with much taste, the ancient furniture and decoration with all the modern comfort standards. Thus, all the bedrooms have been redecorated with refinement and feature luxurious en-suite bathrooms.
