**TOUR DE FRANCE 2018 - HALF BOARD ONLY**
Perfect for big groups, our large luxury ski & bike chalet is right in the heart of Paradiski (La Plagne + Les Arcs) and 7km from Bourg St Maurice along the valley bike path. Available catered or self-catered, the chalet has a stylish alpine feel and it is in an ideal spot for skiing, cycling and walking holidays, yet easy to reach by road or rail. The chalet is ideal for large groups of friends or family.
Rented as a whole with the top floor Penthouse, it has 5 ensuite bedrooms and an optional studio in the main house and 4 more ensuite bedrooms in the penthouse (accessed by external log steps). Most rooms have a balcony, and there are 2 large sitting rooms with comfortable seating & log stoves, a sauna and an outdoor hot tub (supplement). There's plenty of room to relax and have fun, yet still find a quiet corner when you want your own space. The two parts of the house are connected by external log steps unsuitable for very young children or people with mobility difficulties.
The stunning former farmhouse is built into the hillside on the edge of the alpine village of Landry, within the Peisey Vallandry area of the Paradiski ski resort. There's a shop, bar and restaurant in the village. The river and H2O white water rafting centre are 1km away, as is the local SNCF train station. The chalet is close to the village shuttle bus to the ski lifts in Plan Peisey and the Arc 1600 funicular in Bourg St Maurice (see below map for more location details).
Depending on your needs, we can provide additional villa-style services including airport or station transfers, a private chauffeur service to the lifts, supermarket shopping, a private cook for all or part of your stay, bread and ski pass delivery, dog sitting or walking, and much more.
OPTIONAL CATERED / HALF BOARD SERVICE
If you stay catered / half board, we'll prepare breakfast and dinner for you and look after all the cleaning up, as well as run you to the lifts and back each day in winter (NOTE: you'll only have 9 bedrooms if you take this option, we need the studio for the staff). If you stay self-catered, our private cook can still come and prepare dinner for you some nights if you fancy a rest. We can also deliver ready made meals for you to reheat yourselves. SNOWSURE SKIING IN WINTER
The luxury ski chalet is in the middle of the Paradiski domain, one of the largest lift-linked ski areas in the world (formed by the joining of the Les Arcs and La Plagne domains). 70% of the resort is over 2000m high and it offers over 420km of lift-linked skiing, including 2 glaciers over 3000m high. For ski safaris, Ste Foy, La Rosiere, Tignes Val d'Isere and the Three Valleys are within 20-60 mins drive.
In the summer and winter seasons, there's a village shuttle bus to the lifts in Plan Peisey and Vallandry resort villages. The bus stop is approx 150m from the house. There's also a shuttle to the Arc 1600 funicular in Bourg St Maurice (approx 250m). For self-catered guests we can also provide a private minibus service to the ski lifts in winter for an extra charge (Montchavin Les Coches 10 mins drive).
GREAT CYCLING AND WALKING IN SUMMER
It's in a great spot for walking, cycling and mountain biking too. There's a beautiful cycle path along the river just 1km from the house, a white water rafting centre and lovely river side cafe. The GR5, a long distance footpath, passes opposite the house, and there are lots of walks and rides straight from the door.
The chalet is 12km from the Vanoise National Park, and there are lots of local walks nearby, with footpaths leading off through the woods at the back of the house (dogs love them!). We can provide maps and explain our favourite walks.
There are excellent mountain biking trails close at hand too (indeed, Bike Village, a well-regarded mountain biking holiday company, is based just across the village from our house).
We're also in the perfect spot for road cyclists looking for a base for challenging Tour de France col climbs. The start of the famous Courmet de Roselend and Col de Petit Saint Bernard climbs are only a few kilometres past the chalet and we are just off the Route des Grandes Alpes too.Get the full listing »
