Welcome to Sand Caper #701 your luxurious tropical getaway in paradise. This resort-style condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with very generous square footage. Please note there is a 2-week minimum stay. There is an atrium open to the sky 7 stories up with tropical foliage in the center of the building, lending to an island atmosphere without even leaving the resort as seen on Beach Front Bargins! This venue is on the top floor of the resort, and is a fully turn-key vacation rental. There is tile flooring in the entry hall, kitchen, and bathrooms. Ceiling fans are located in both bedrooms, dining area, and kitchen. The kitchen is a chef's delight with plenty of Corian counterspace and well-stocked cabinets to make it easier to prepare full-course meals, should that be on your list, as well as a built-in desk. There is a refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, a 5-burner glasstop range and self-cleaning oven, built-in above range microwave, and dishwasher. There is a pass through to the dining area.
This resort is located at the quiet southern end of Estero Island and is within walking distance of a myriad of amenities that include a public marina and movie theatre. The resort has a unique beach/lagoon setting on the gulf side. The beach is accessed by exiting either of two doors at ground level, with sidewalks out to the lagoon area, and then walking slightly to the right and then left straight out to the shore behind the Wyndam resort where, by the way, there is a Pincher's Crab Shack restaurant. On returning to the resort there are dedicated areas for gas BBQ grills, tables and chairs, as well as a place to rinse the sand off your shoes and feet before re-entering the building.
Directly across the boulevard is a CVS pharmacy and Santini Marina Plaza, with many shops and restaurants. There is also quick exit via the south bridge to nearby Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and RSW International Airport. The beach at this portion of the island is expansive, connecting its guests to 7 miles of white sugar sand beach. Trolley service is available from directly in front of Santini Plaza to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach, where there is an extended fishing pier and too numerous to count clubs, restaurants, and boutiques. The trolley can also take you south to the secluded Lover's Key park.
Amenities at Sand Caper include a heated pool, as well covered reserved parking. Also on the premises is a nicely furnished community lounge, complete with its own fully equipped kitchen, sofas, chairs, large wall-mounted flat screen TV, game tables, screened in balcony, and bathroom. The island's major supermarket, Publix, is just a 2-mile drive away.
Entry at ground level is through a secure lobby where an elevator takes you to #701. Bellman trolleys are available to make your arrival a little easier. The hallways on each floor are open air yet sheltered from the elements, to allow the island winds to waft around you as you approach the door to your accommodations. Upon exiting the elevator the condo is located to the right, and a trash chute is conveniently located next to the elevators.
Walk into a tiled foyer, looking past the kitchen into the spacious dining room, living room and screened balcony beyond. Immediately to your right upon entry is the kitchen as previously described. In addition there is a double sink with disposal, above which is a window looking out to the boulevard and the back bay beyond.
Straight on is the dining room with round, glass-top table with 4 cushioned chairs, buffet, and sliding glass doors that open out to the front of the resort, overlooking the boulevard and pool area. The adjacent spacious, bright, airy, and well-furnished living room has sliding glass doors opening to the screened-in balcony with tiled floors. The view from here overlooks the boulevard, as well as sweeping around to the gulf and the curvature of the beach towards Sanibel Island to the north from a seventh floor vantage point. The balcony is nicely furnished with a round patio table seating three. The living area has matching sofa and love seat with end tables and lamps, as well as coffee table. There is also an overstuffed chair with ottoman and floor lamp. There is a credenza with large flat screen TV for your viewing enjoyment as well.
Heading back towards the entrance hallway the guest bedroom and bath is on the right. The bedroom is nicely furnished with two single beds, night stand and lamp, corner overstuffed chair, as well as double dresser with wall mirror and ample closet space.
Adjacent to the guest room is the guest bath, with tiled combination tub/shower with glass doors, commode, and vanity with lavatory. Also this condo has its own extremely convenient laundry/utility room with stacked washer and dryer situated off the foyer opposite the kitchen and next to the guest bath. Just think, should you so desire you can return home with suitcases full of clean clothes!
Back through the living/dining area and to the left is the master bedroom with en suite bathroom with nicely tiled walk-in shower with sliding glass doors, commode, and vanity with lavatory. Just next to the bathroom is a huge walk-in closet with plenty of storage space and a 4-drawer chest. The bedroom is nicely furnished with a king-size bed, night stands and lamps, corner recliner chair by the sliding glass doors out to the balcony as previously descibed, as well as a corner over-stuffed chair. There is also a triple dresser with wall mirror and a flat screen TV. The window in this bedroom has the same view as the balcony of the beach and gulf.
The island has numerous restaurants and night life for your choosing. Water activities abound. There's parasailing, jet ski rentals, fishing charters to name a few. Your stay at Sand Caper will definitely provide the potential for an unforgettable getaway!
