Be one of the first to stay in this historical home. Enjoy an experience while you stay in just west of Portland on the edge of wine country.
The Macrum Manor is as much an experience as it is a place to stay and rest while visiting Forest Grove in the beautiful Willamette Valley. It sits nestled within the trees in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks south of Pacific University.
Isaac and Westanna Macrum built the house in 1888. Originally three grand residences were built in the Late Victorian - Queen Anne style in Forest Grove. Today this home is the last one remaining. The Macrum Manor, listed on the National Historic Register, has been significantly renovated yet still retains its original design and architecture.
The Macrum Manor is just over 7,700 square feet. There are ten original bedrooms with nine being available for guest use, five equipped with queen beds, and the other four having full beds. There are four full bathrooms, and one half bath throughout the manor. The entire home is decorated with an incredible array of antiques from the era. To prevent the potential of costly damage to the many beautiful antiques, please be advised the rental is not suitable for children ages 1 - 12.
Every room is an adventure through time and you will enjoy exploring all of the decor and facets of this extraordinarily special home. Of the numerous renovations your large group will enjoy is the spacious kitchen with its side-by-side Subzero refrigerator cabinets, crisper and freezer drawers. All refrigeration units are covered with wood exteriors matching the cabinetry so they may not be easily visible in the pictures. Please refer to the floor plans and pictures on the details about the layout of this extraordinarily beautiful manor. There is just too much to possibly list here!
The Macrum Manor is a home that is so unique and special it would be hard to find anything similar regardless of location. Don't miss your chance to explore the wonderful Pacific Northwest and all it has to offer while enjoying your stay in this truly historic home. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.
We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.
