Subwoofer Room Placement

Finding the right spot for your new subwoofer will depend on your room layout and how unobtrusive you want to make the installation.

Here we're going to share with you a deceptively simple procedure that only takes into consideration locating the most efficient spot for the unit.

What you need to do is place the subwoofer in your listening chair and fire it up. Now you have to crawl around on the floor of your room until you find the spot where there is the most bass. That is where you will place the subwoofer.

We'll bet you never thought of that!

What Makes a Quality Product?

What makes a quality product?

We suggest there are three aspects to "quality" you'll want to look for in any product. First, design quality; is it a sound concept that will assure the highest performance? Second, build quality; will it hold up and work for many trouble free years? Were shortcuts taken to speed production and cut costs? And third, parts quality; even if you get all else right, it still must be built out of quality parts and not cheap, substandard ones that fail prematurely or just don't function properly.

It's the same goal in repair work. Fix the problem and anything else that's wrong the first time. Perform the work to the highest possible standards and use the best available parts.

It's how we like to do things here at Barry Frankel Electronic Repairs. It's how we keep the music playing!

Money-saving Tip

It's hard to believe how changing technology brought us the CD & DVD and now with digital downloads we seem to be leaving those behind, like the vinyl record and VHS tape before them.

Well, lots of us still use the shiny discs and here's a money-saving tip for you - A common failure of a DVD player is its inability to read a disc or it may only read certain ones.

The unit can no longer be a part of your video system, but it still may have a life ahead of it as a CD player in a stereo system. Many failed DVD players will still function fine as CD players, keeping the landfills a little emptier a little longer.
