Located on a quiet street, this home requires only two steps to access the main floor which offers breathtaking views, two bedrooms, a bathroom, open-concept eat in kitchen, living room and dining room. The downstairs includes a master bedroom with an en suite bath, a family room and another bedroom with bath. The home accommodates 12 guests.
As you enter, you will be pleased with the sunny, bright, airy, high ceiling design and the engaging colors and zany motif. The dining table accommodate 12 hungry diners and is conveniently near the kitchen that offers all the pots, pans, silverware, dishwasher, large fridge, oven, stove, microwave and anything a chef would need to create divine fare.
The kitchen has a breakfast nook for 4 and spices, oils, etc. so you don’t need to buy or bring any. It also has an island bar with 2 stools, so the cook won’t get lonely.
The kitchen overlooks the living room, the dining room and is adjacent to the laundry room.
The living room showcases the views and has an attached deck. It also offers comfortable convertible couches, able to accommodate 4 sleepers. There is a tv in this room as well.
The Skateboard Room has a queen size bed, a tv (which will be connected soon) and shares a bathroom with the Glam Room that overlooks the Bay and the backyard. The Glam has a queen size bed, and a desk for writers who are inspired by views.
Downstairs, you may enjoy the family room with views of the spacious back yard and Bay. This room has a sectional (you may sleep on it), a gas stove/fireplace, a huge TV with Bose speakers.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed with French doors overlooking the deck, where you may enjoy your coffee in the morning. It also has an en suite large bathroom with an over sized shower and a toilet in separate room.
The other bedroom downstairs has a bunk bed and its own bathroom as well.
Our backyard is spacious, has a BBQ and large table nesting amidst a lemon tree and other California Native plants.
You may park in the driveway and there is ample free, unlimited parking on the street.
We love our neighborhood’s proximity to BART (our subway system), to Berkeley (10 minutes), To Tilden Park (5 minutes-hiking and equestrian trails, golf and swimming.) We are close to San Francisco (30 minutes), Oakland (20 minutes), Muir Redwoods (45 min) Napa mud baths and Sonoma’s wine country (1 hour). We love our local farmer’s Market (Tuesday and Saturday 9-1 at El Cerrito Plaza), the proximity to Trader Joe’s, Safeway, Lucky’s, Peet’s, Starbucks, a slew of restaurants, bars, movie theater, Video arcade, boutique shops on Solano, El Cerrito Community Center (10 minute walk - Offers a pool, zumba, etc.) and the park across the street from it with a huge Jungle gym and a running track.
