Raritan Center I in Edison, N.J., Distinguished by Quality, Amenities and Location


EDISON, N.J., Oct. 23, 2009 – Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. has been named leasing agent for Raritan Plaza I, a 262,500-square-foot, Class A office property in Edison. Robert Dinner, Jon Marks, and Joseph Sarno of the firm’s Edison office are heading the assignment for landlord Summit Associates Inc., which is headquartered at the building.

According to Vincent Visceglia, Esq., real estate counsel for Summit Associates, his firm retained Cushman & Wakefield in an effort to best showcase Raritan Plaza I. “We chose this company and this team based upon their global network and remarkable history of success with Class A buildings in the central New Jersey marketplace,” he said. “We welcome the opportunity to work with some of the finest real estate brokers in the state on this exciting building.”

Located at 110 Fieldcrest Ave., the nine-story Raritan Plaza I features a glass façade and three-story atrium lobby. Tenants benefit from 24/7 access and 24-hour guard security; five elevators, including a freight elevator and loading dock; multiple telecom service providers; onsite management; and garage parking.

Amenities include a café, a Chase bank branch with drive-up and ATM, travel agency and NJ Transit bus service to the Metuchen train station. Additionally, Raritan Plaza I interconnects with the Sheraton Edison Hotel, offering a full conference center, dining, fitness and pool facilities, and shuttle service to Newark Airport and the Metropark Rail Station.

“This building provides a true Class A environment for tenants spanning many industries and with a wide range of size requirements,” noted Dinner, who added that his team currently is marketing spaces from 1,200 square feet to a full floor of just over 23,000 square feet. Tenants already housed at the property include Wells Fargo, First Investors, Camp Dresser & McKee and others.

“Add to that its prime location within Raritan Center – one of the largest and most strategically located mixed-use business parks in the Northeast – and the advantages to locating here become clear,” Dinner noted.

The 2,300-acre Raritan Center is located midway between Manhattan and Philadelphia, just off Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike, at the confluence of I-287/Route 440, the Garden State Parkway and US 1&9. Currently, the campus includes 100 buildings totaling some 13 million square feet of space. Neighborhood amenities include hotels, restaurants, banks, childcare facilities and mail/shipping centers. Menlo Park and Woodbridge Center, two regional malls; JFK Medical Center; and Rutgers University and Middlesex County College are located nearby.
