There is no better way to increase your vacation value than by combining lift tickets, rental equipment and activities with your rental as a complete package. We can assist you in building a custom package to meet your specific needs and desires while staying at Ski History Haus. We have lived and worked here for 26 years!
Our house was featured in December 2014 Powder Magazine, Crested Butte Magazine, International Skiing History Magazine and CB Winter 2014 Guide. I have the articles scanned if you would like for me to send to you. January is a perfect time to come because our rates are so reasonable.
email for monthly rates for January and July.IMPORTANT NOTE: Because we are fair to our neighbors, we do not allow Trailers, dirt bikes, ATV's and NO DOGS or PETS of any type (some people have allergies that rent from us). We also do not allow smoking on the property anywhere. (thanks) The house rental is for the number of guests specified and is not to be used for an event party unless we discuss before you rent. We have had many family reunions here and extended families from weddings and it has worked great for the groups! If you have questions call us at the ski history haus or Paul Hooge. There is a lot of building going on in Mt Crested Butte and some may be really close to us. Let me know if you want to know about any building close in the neighborhood.
Before we owned a home at Crested Butte Mountain, we went on ski vacations (from Ohio), so we feel that we know what will make a perfect vacation for couples, guy trips, girl trips, extended families with children and grandchildren as "we have had those trips". We love skiing, hiking, biking and relaxing. You will have a great time staying in our home! There is wifi throughout. If you want Paul to talk about the museum collections, just let us know. During the winter, Paul can give you a free 2 hour tour of the mountain so you can decide which trails are best for you
Some of our long time guests are groups of 2 or 4 and rent for 2 weeks. Ask about a discount if you are a small group, but want the advantage of a house.
Please note. In the winter, you can make bookings up to a day before you are coming as we move into the caretaker unit for the whole winter as we pretty much ski a lot and the caretaker unit is great for us. In the summer, if we do not have bookings by June 29, we will block out for most of the summer, so you need to email to see if available.
N O T E MAIN LIVING AREA is up a full flight of steps (most houses here are built that way to capture views. So, just letting all potential guests know you do have to climb stairs (they are 40" wide with sturdy hand rail.)
