The Kai Life is a recently-renovated Caribbean-style "Island House" and sits directly between the protected quiet beach and Cayman Kai Cove and the beautiful barefoot white sand beach and amenities of the famous Rum Point Club. Location, location, location.
Walk across the street to restaurants, beach bar, watersports, shopping boutique and a wonderful white-sand barefoot swimming beach. The Island Houses are a resort neighborhood of 18 units at the top of the cove, each with their own 2-story screened lanai. They share a dock and large swimming pool with sundeck. This is resort living, but with fewer footprints and more privacy.
The Kai Life is spacious and airy with elegant comfortable furnishings. Balconies from each second-floor bedroom open to the screened lanai to allow the house to be opened up during the cooler winter months. Screened casement windows on the front also allow a breeze to flow through the house when air-conditioning is not needed.
The ground floor is an open floorplan and includes a living & dining area, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a guest 1/2 bath, reading nook with sleeper sofa, separate utility room, with full size washer/ dryer, as well as the spacious screened lanai facing the water with additional seating and outside dining. Our guests tend to spend many hours outside in the lanai. Private charcoal grill & outdoor shower behind lanai.
Other amenities included with this villa are, High speed Wi-Fi connection, a 55 inch flat panel Smart HDTV with premium movie channels, hotel-grade linens & towels and plenty of beach towels.
Access to amazing natural surroundings is at your back door overlooking the popular Bioluminescent Bay. This enchanting natural wonder comes alive at night with sparkling aquatic life that can be enjoyed while kayaking at night, or you can hire one of the local tour companies/guides for their narrated and informative tour.
Our guests also easily walk to the Kaibo Marina and restaurants for additional watersports, dining options, coffee shop and to catch the Cayman Ferry over to Camana Bay and 7 Mile Beach.

1) A Cleaning Fee may be required due to enhanced cleaning, sanitation, and inspection protocols.
2) Tandem kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) available for discounted rental. Signed waiver and 5-day minimum required with 6th and 7th day free: US$39 per day per kayak/SUP ($195 per week/each). Paddles included.
***Deposit & Payment Schedule***
-- For bookings made outside of 60 days prior to arrival, a 50% deposit (of rent only) is due in order to confirm your booking. The remaining 50% balance plus taxes and fees are due 60 days prior to arrival.
-- For arrivals within 60 days, the entire balance is due in order to confirm your booking.
***Villa Cleaning & Sanitation***
-- We're committed to the health and safety of all our guests and have adopted enhanced cleaning safeguards to suppress the spread of COVID-19. All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival using health agency-approved cleaners and disinfectants. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products.
-- Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival on-island.
RELAXED CANCELLATION POLICY ON ALL BOOKINGS MADE AFTER MARCH 14, 2020.
1). Once guests signed rental contract is confirmed with 50% (of rent) deposit, should guest cancel in writing prior to 60 days of arrival, half of the initial deposit (25% of rent) will be refunded to the card on file, less a 3.50% processing/admin fee. Should villa owner be able to replace the reservation in whole or in part, the (prorated) un-refunded balance of the initial deposit will be returned less any re-booking costs incurred. Should the owner not be able to replace the reservation, the balance of the initial deposit is forfeited.
PANDEMIC/EPIDEMIC EXCEPTION: Should a declared Pandemic or Epidemic prevent reasonable travel options to the destination, the guest may cancel and the entire initial deposit will be refunded, less a processing/admin fee of 3.50%.
2). Once full payment has been made (or the 60-day mark has passed and the guest has not paid the balance), should guest cancel in writing, GCVC will refund any occupancy taxes, cleaning fees and refundable damage deposits to the card on file. The dates will be opened on the calendar for rebooking. Should the reservation be replaced in whole or part, the guest will receive up to 100% of monies paid less rebooking charges incurred. Should GCVC not be able to replace the reservation, rent and service fee will be forfeited; however, guest will receive a credit for 50% of rent paid to be used for a similar stay at the same property, taken within 13 months of the original date of arrival.
PANDEMIC/EPIDEMIC EXCEPTION: Should a declared Pandemic or Epidemic prevent reasonable travel options after full payment, the guest may cancel up until day of arrival and all payments will be refunded, less a 3.50% processing/admin fee.
HURRICANE WARNING EXCEPTION: Should a hurricane warning (not a hurricane watch) affect Grand Cayman's ability to welcome guests; the guest will have the option of rescheduling the trip with generous owner flexibility or a full 100% refund of all monies paid with no deduction.
3). We strongly advise the purchase of CSA trip interruption insurance to indemnify the risk of cancellation, weather delay, airline interruption, medical reason for non-travel, etc. Please know that very few insurers will cover a declared pandemic.

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Queen owns up to the high watermark. Be advised, the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images displayed due to weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed***
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.
