This 3 bedroom plus Den / 2 bath unit at Tamarind Bay Condos, located on the beautiful Seven Mile Beach was renovated in December 2018.
Tamarind Bay is centrally located on 250 feet of prime SMB beachfront. With only 22 units in the complex, and less than half in short term rentals, the property is never crowded. An outdoor freshwater shower and foot rinse is conveniently located adjacent to the pool.
Sit in lush manicured grounds, plenty of sun or shade under umbrellas or palm trees near the large freshwater pool. Walk to shops, restaurants, tour agencies, car rental, grocery and liquor store. This is a quiet complex with great access to nightlife, beach bars, excellent snorkeling off SMB, Marriott's artificial reef and all the water sports.
The unit is on the second floor and has been completely and professionally remodeled. Works were completed Jan 2019 with the highest attention to detail and to quality of materials, furnishings and appliances. It is modern and elegantly furnished, bright and spacious.
This condo has a strict NO SMOKING policy including no smoking on the screened patio, as the unit has just been updated with all new furniture.
This apartment is ideal for parties of 4-6 but can accommodate up to 8 guests. There are 4 beds in total: 1 king, 1 queen, 1 Murphy queen and 1 sleeper queen; all equipped with high density memory foam mattresses.
Beach/oceanviews are in the master bedroom, living room, patio, and kitchen.
The master bedroom has a king bed with a breathtaking view of the Seven Mile Beach and sea. You have a 32” TV in this room and Bluetooth alarm clock to play your favorite tunes.
The second bedroom has a queen bed and an en-suite bath with shower. The second bathroom with tub is located in the hallway.
The den has a mounted 60” TV and 2 comfortable lounge chairs. To convert into a bedroom, simply move the lounge chairs and pull down the queen Murphy bed. A flat backboard with a foam mattress ensures a comfortable nights sleep. Double sliding barn doors give privacy to the den when used as a bedroom. These doors open to the living room and when open, give great space to the communal areas.
There is a queen sleeper sofa and TV in the living room. The 3 coffee / side tables nest (larger tables sit on top of smaller tables) if taking out the sleeper bed.
A spacious screened porch with outdoor dining for 6 welcomes you to a view of the grounds, pool and sea. In the morning, sit outside for breakfast to watch the cruise ships sailing in, or dine in the evening to the backdrop of the lit pool and the soft sound of the waves in the background. An outdoor lounge chair is a good place to read a book or unwind.
The kitchen is fully equipped: full stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, ample dishes and utensils for 12. Plasticware for pool side. The fridge is big enough to hold a week’s groceries and there is an automatic ice dispenser in the freezer below. You have a toaster, coffee maker, blender (for smoothies), and even a Nespresso machine for those requiring a stronger caffeine fix. The complex has 3 common grilling areas to use.
The modern dining table seats 6, and 4 more can be seated on stools at the counter. Extra power outlets have been placed near and under the counter so it’s a great place to plug in and/or charge your electronics.
A handy counter area located right inside the front door is convenient for towels and for you to quickly drop your things. Underneath is the front loading washing machine and dryer for laundry.
Bath towels, beach towels and linens are provided. You will find hair dryers, an iron and streamer. Basic housekeeping services are provided every 3-4 days, based on your stay. You may change or request additional towels from the property manager, or can inquire about additional cleaning services (for a fee) during your stay.
There is a personal safe available for your use in the unit.
All 3 TVs in the house have cable so you can watch your favorite shows or keep track of events at home.
There are 2 phones from which you can make free unlimited LOCAL calls. WiFi is also fast, free and fibre optic so you can stay in touch with your loved ones.
Air conditioning in the unit is centralized.
The complex is ideally located on Seven Mile Beach which is the hub for entertainment, restaurants and activities in Grand Cayman. The complex is situated within walking distance to Camana Bay, Georgetown, top restaurants, a large grocery store, tour operators and several dive shops nearby.
If you choose to venture out further, you can either rent a car or have a taxi pick you up at the doorstep. Alternatively there is public transportation on our road, West Bay road that travels along the Seven Mile Beach strip. If you are taking part in an organized tour, most tour operators will have door to door transportation.
There is 1 parking space reserved for the unit for your use.
Interaction with Guests
Check in and assistance during your stay is provided by the on-site property manager Kathy. Access to the unit is keyless so no keys to worry about losing! Kathy will provide you with a code. Kathy can also assist with general questions about the island and recommendations for tours, restaurants, etc.
Other Things to Note
Loungers and chairs are provided by the complex and are for the exclusive use of Tamarind Bay residents and guests.
There is a large bin of communal beach toys for the kids to use and play with by the pool.
There is a tennis court available for use. You can book a time at the front office.
Please recycle. There are blue recycle bins for aluminum, glass, paper and plastic near the shed at the end of the parking lot.
Please be mindful of your use of water and electricity as both are extremely expensive.
