Villa Foster in Cape Coral, Florida is a beautiful rental home in a peaceful, tropical setting. It comes with all the amenities that you could want for your perfect holiday, including your own boat! The west-facing, spacious pool deck / lanai is perfect for viewing the evening sunset and the late day sun makes swimming in your heated pool more enjoyable. Take boat rides on the 21 ft. Hurricane Fun Deck or stay poolside where you can swim, work on your tan, read a book or cook on your BBQ grill. Or, if you prefer, just walk down to your dock. There you can fish or just relax under the tiki-hut with a cocktail, while feeling the cool breezes and keeping an eye out to view jumping fish or an occasional dolphin or manatee that may swim by. The dock extends out 30 feet over the canal and it will make you feel like you are floating on the water. Villa Foster's local, attentive property management keeps everything running smooth. The comfort, ease, and beauty of staying at Villa Foster is sure to make your vacation perfectly special.
The property's Hurricane Fun Deck 201 is perfect for cruising the canals, spending a day on the river or visiting one of the many beaches nearby. With canal access from the home's private boat dock, you can reach the Caloosahatchee River in just a couple of minutes and the Gulf of Mexico in just about 45 minutes. There is nothing to compare with boating to one of the nearby restaurants or marinas for lunch or dinner. With comfortable seating for six, this is a great boat for cruising local waters or catching fish for your dinner. The boat sports a relatively new, 150 hp, Yamaha 4 stroke, outboard engine which starts easily and is super quiet.
THE SALT WATER POOL:
-Our pool is 14 feet by 32 feet (approximately 4.6 meters by 10.3 meters).
-It has an electric heater and thermal pool cover for use during the cooler months (mid-November to mid-April).
-It faces west for maximum sun exposure and great sunsets. (As you look at Cape Coral, Florida rentals make sure you ask which direction the pool faces! You will be VERY unhappy with a north or east facing pool which would be in the shadows for most of the day.)
There are a few fishing poles and some tackle in Villa Foster's garage for our guests to use. However, if you are more serious about the sport, you should bring your own gear and ask our check out captain for guidance, because there is some great fishing to be had in Cape Coral.
GETTING AROUND IN CAPE CORAL:
A rental car is recommended. Cape Coral is the largest city in Florida (land wise) and has over 400 miles of canals. This means that getting around on foot or by bike is not practical.
The closest airport is Southwest International in Fort Myers airport (airport code RSW). This is approximately 25 minutes away from Villa Foster. Other Florida airports our guests have used include Tampa (TPA), Miami (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL). One word of caution, if you rent a car from the Miami airport, get detailed directions on how to return it as the signage for rental car returns is MISERABLE.
-You must pay the cleaning service directly! Please remember to leave $140.00 on the kitchen counter for them just prior to departing the villa, at the end of your stay.
-You must pay the $150.00 captain's fee directly to the US licensed Coast Guard captain that does your boat check-in, check-out and orientation of the waterways.
-Sometime after booking, you will receive an email from CSA to purchase travel insurance damage protection. For a fee of just $99.00 you will be covered for up to $5,000.00, and this includes the boat, as well.Get the full listing »
