Thank you for swinging by!
We've been on AirBnB since 2015 and are superhosts with a 5 star rating. Most of our guests stay longer than 3 weeks at a time, and sometimes as long as 3 months. To see what others say about us, you can check out our reviews on our AirBnB listing :)
The space is ground level, modern and super comfortable with an open concept living room and kitchen combination. You have your own private entry, and a private patio which overlooks our sunny west facing yard.
The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes, cutlery, glassware and mugs, stove, fridge, DW, a breakfast table, and breakfast bar. The living room is equipped with a gas fireplace, and the suite also has a washer/dryer.
In the bedroom you'll find a full sized queen bed with a brand new mattress. In the event there is a 3rd person staying, we have a floor mattress, or army cot (from planet of the apes) available with bedding.
Since we work in film, several pieces of furniture come from actual shows we've worked on. The covered patio for example has a bistro table and chairs from Wayward Pines, Season 1.
In light of our health and that of our planet, when our cleaners come through, we provide them with only the best non-toxic cleaners available. And you'll find some of these products under the sink and by the washer/dryer available for your use as well.
The suite has its own private entry which is accessed by a walk way on the north (mountain) side of our home. In the event that we're not home, the key is kept in a lock box for which you'll be given instructions and a code before arrival. In the event we're home, we'll simply let you in and give you the grand tour :)
We respect and like to give you your space, and if you need any help or have any questions, we will help you to the best of our ability to help you get the best out of your stay.
Since we work in film, there will be times where our availability may be limited due to the long hours of the industry, but you can always get a hold of me by text or phone.
**About the neighborhood and surroundings:
The neighborhood is very quiet, clean and family oriented.
There are several schools in the neighborhood, including Maple Ridge Senior Secondary which is within walking distance from us, that participate in our International Education program offered by School District 42. So, if you have a child that is staying with a host family, then this is a perfect spot for you. We've had several families stay at our place while they were visiting their children in the program or helping them get settled in with the hosting family.
If you are a business traveler, you'll enjoy the peace and quiet that this location has to offer. And depending on the nature of your business, we're centrally located in the Lower Mainland with easy access to the South, East and West.
If you're a fly-in nurse, you'll love knowing that we're only about 8 minutes away from the Hospital, and the bus stop is just around the corner from our home in the event you didn't have a car.
We are also within 20 minutes of the IUOE Heavy Equipment Training Site and The Justice Institute's Firefighter Training site on 256th Street in Maple Ridge.
Downtown Vancouver is less than an hour's drive away outside of rush hour. If you prefer to avoid traffic, you can take the West Coast Express commuter train right to downtown for a day trip or work related activities. Just know that the train travels west in the morning and east in the evening. There are no additional runs back and forth during the day.
If you like golfing, there are about 7 golf courses in the vicinity and one 60-stall driving range. These golf courses all vary in challenge, but one thing is for certain, each course is spectacularly beautiful!
If you like to spend some time around horses, there are various stables and equestrian centers and more than 60 km of riding-trails here in Maple Ridge.
The Pitt Polder Wetlands are famous for bird watching and miles of dikes offer beautiful nature watching opportunities. The "Trans Canada Trail" goes right through here.
If you're looking for opportunities to go boating, hiking, biking, running, climbing the Golden Ears Mountains... all of that is available here as well, and so much more!
We're centrally located in a very quiet, well established neighborhood. Assuming that we're traveling by car, we're within 5 minutes from downtown Maple Ridge, the dykes, recreation, Golden Ears park, shopping and hospital. Five minutes from the West Coast Express (commuter train to Vancouver) and Golden Ears bridge (easy access to Langley and Surrey). Access to major bus route (C44) is just around the corner (2 min. walk).
**Other things to note:
This is a quiet, adult oriented home in a quiet neighborhood. We, and in consideration of our neighbors, are not interested in parties and loud music. And due to our work hours, neither is this a home suitable for children under the age of 14. So, please, don't surprise us with last minute additions after the booking has already been confirmed.
If your situation is unique in some ways, I would certainly encourage you to talk to us :)Get the full listing »
