Our home offers a relaxing atmosphere for all guests. After a day of exploring our beautiful areas, you can relax in a large soaker tub or take a shower in the oversize glass shower. Enjoy a beverage on one of the two decks. One is South facing and the other West facing, for beautiful sunset view.
BBQ is located on South deck.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with high end appliances and cookware. Spices, condiments, plastic wraps, tinfoil, paper towels, kleenex, garbage bags etc. all provided.
Bed linens, bathroom linens, body wash, shampoo, cream rinse and miscellaneous bathroom items, ( should you forget something) supplied.
Beach items, are also available. Chairs, umbrella, sand toys, coolers and beach towels on site.
For young families we offer: playpen, high chair and little tykes bed.
Located in a rural setting...a car is needed if you want to make day trips around the area. We have taxi's available in the area along with walking/biking trail. No public busses or go-trains in our area.
East River is a small community that is blessed with 2 beaches, beautiful views of the Mahone Bay with plenty of sea birds sightings, fishermens lobster boats and sail boats. The odd time you might see a seal floating by.
We are on the Aspotogan Peninsula HWY 329. A very well known bicycle route that offers sweeping ocean views with small fishing villages dotted along the 329 Lighthouse route.
We have a beautiful trail system linking communities from Lunenburg to Halifax. An old CN railway that has been converted for the use of hikers, cyclists and ATV users. Chester Connection Trail and Aspotogan Trail heads, are located in East River where the 329 hwy meets the 3 hwy.
Bayswater Provincial Park and Beach is half way around the peninsula. A must to visit and enjoy.
Hubbards is a 10 min drive away and hosts the Hubbards Farm Market on Saturdays. Many local vendors from the area provide fresh produce, organic meats and crafts.
The Shore Club is popular and offers a traditional lobster dinner and all you can eat mussel and salad bar during summer months, along with Saturday evening entertainment.
Tancook Island is accessible by ferry only, leaving from Chester. Pack a picnic and plan a day on the island to get a feel of island life.
We are fortunate to have some of the best golf courses at our doorstep. Some golf courses in our area are Chester Golf, Aspotogan Golf, Sherwood Golf, Glen Arbour Golf and Bluenose Golf to mention a few.
Mahone Bay, famous for the Three Churches, is close by as well as our Heritage Town of Lunenburg. You may even get lucky to have the Bluenose in dock, with an opportunity to book a sailing on her. Check out the website for her schedule.
For all you Curse of Oak Island fans, Oak Island is located about 15 kms away. There you will get the opportunity to visit the interpretative centre, purchase some memorabilia and you may possibly get a sneak peek at some of the cast members.
Our beautiful province is filled with opportunity for your choosing. Anything from a day relaxing in the sun to an exhilarating Tidal Bore Rafting adventure on the Fundy Bay, you can find it all here in Nova Scotia.
Children under 16 years stay free, do not include them in the number of guests when booking. But please let us know how many children will be staying in a note to us once you book.
