Warren County Land Preservation Hike (4 miles or 15 miles)

What Warren County Land Preservation Hike (4 miles or 15 miles)
When Saturday, September 28, 2019
08:30 AM to 08:30 PM
By Metrotrails: NJ, PA, NY Metropolitan Area Hiking and More!
Where Dale's Market
66 NJ-94
Blairstown, NJ 07825
How to find us Simply meet at Dale's and we will move cars together to on street parking.
Located in BLAIRSTOWN, NJ

This is sure to be a wonderful day of hiking and history!
For this one, there are two options, a short version of four miles, and a long version of 15.
For those doing the full day event, meet at Dale's Market in Blairstown at 8:30 am. From there, we head to our start point. The first bit will be a loop. If you are doing ONLY the first four miles, simply meet at White Lake Natural Resource Area in Hardwick up Rt 523 and find me there at maybe 8:45. The first loop will be the perimeter of White Lake.
From 10 until no later than 1 or 2, we will attend the event and tour the historic Vass Farmstead. I'll probably have a history presentation.
After, we begin walking from White Lake along some of the newer trails, as well as Ridge and Valley Trail. We will continue on Paulins Kill Valley Trail, check out Frelinghuysen Forest Preserve, Gnome Hollow Preserve, then more of the rail trail back to Blairstown.
It's really a fantastic area that promises to be something quite special.
