THINGS TO DO IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

With 2 verandahs, a gazebo, fire pit, swimming pool, 2 alfresco dining spaces and a BBQ there are places and spaces to cater for everyone's desires. Escape with a good book, float aimlessly in the pool, pour your favorite chilled drink and sip your way through the afternoon while the kids happily occupy themselves. There's Netflix, DVD's, books, board games and X-Box in the dedicated upstairs kids' living space. Best of all and most surprising to visitors, the property is peacefully confined within large, solid walls. Once you enter through the front gate, a sense of serenity envelops you and you quickly forget that you're so close to all that the Gold Coast has to offer.

There is also a pull out sofa bed in the upstairs living area which can sleep an extra 2 people if needed.
With ducted air-conditioning throughout the upstairs living and bedrooms, large windows and plentiful ocean breezes, the entire home is easily cooled.
The kitchen has a pod coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and many other inclusions. Laundry has washing machine, clothes dryer, and tub. We provide towels and linen, and basic supplies for your first few days such as tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, toilet paper soap and detergents. We want you to have all you need at hand for a stress-free holiday! Should you wish to order a supermarket delivery ahead of your arrival time, please feel free to ask. Arrangements can be made to ensure your fridge is stocked ahead of time.
The bus stop is a short walk away. From here you can travel express directly to the Gold Coast Coolangatta Airport. Buses from here connect with other services (to travel to theme parks, Robina Town Centre or Coolangatta) and also link up with the G:Link light rail system which will take you to Surfers Paradise and as far as the Gold Coast University hospital at Parkwood.
THINGS TO DO ON THE GOLD COAST
Experience the new Star Casino. Spend a lazy Sunday outdoors, relaxing with a drink and good company at the popular Garden Kitchen and Bar. The locals are all loving the renewed casino vibe.
Do you like sports? Want to be close to the action for the Commonwealth Games? Metricon Stadium, home of the Gold Coast Suns and host to many large events including the Commonwealth Games opening and closing ceremonies and all athletic events, is 7 kilometres away. Next door to this is the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre, the place to go for Commonwealth Games badminton, weightlifting, wrestling and para power-lifting. The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, the place to go for the Commonwealth Games netball and basketball finals is just 2 kilometres away. The Rugby Sevens will be 6 kms away at Robina Stadium. All of this is an easy bus ride or cheap taxi or uber.
Dreamworld, Movie World, Sea World, Wet 'n' Wild, Paradise Country and Gold Coast Wake Park are all within 20 minutes drive. Public transport and privately-hired mini buses are also options that may suit your needs. Cuddle a koala, hand-feed the lorikeets and learn about Australia's native animals at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Did you know that that from May to October, thousands of humpback whales swim past the Gold Coast on their annual migration to breed in sub-tropical waters? These whales can frequently be viewed from the beach. For an unforgettable experience, you can also witness the majesty of the whale up close by taking a whale watching trip. You won't be disappointed.
Venture south across the border to explore the laid back sleepiness that is northern New South Wales. Kingscliff, Byron Bay, Nimbin and Lennox Head are just a few of the towns well worth a day trip to.
More than 1000 kilometres of bikeways on The Gold Coast link neighbourhoods, parks, beaches and public transport. There is a 36 kilometre "Oceanway'' path extending from the Southport Spit to Coolangatta which is perfect for cycling, walking or just casually admiring the beach views while the kids run from one playground to the next.
Open every weekend of the year, one of Australia's biggest weekend markets, Carrara Markets, is a short walk away. Here you can buy fresh produce from the local farms, seafood, meat, art and craft and eat a fabulous breakfast.
The Gold Coast beaches are popular surf and fishing spots. Should you wish to have surf lessons, go on a fishing day trip, or explore the beautiful islands of Moreton Bay, don't hesitate to ask.
