Magnificent Sophia Terrace has a rich history having been constructed by the land owner and master plasterer Henry Adamson in 1876, who owned 4 side by side dwellings in Derby Street. The Terraces are all similarly-styled and as a group, these buildings have been preserved becoming an important heritage element in an area of Collingwood which has been substantially lost in later development. It is a rare privilege to be able to offer you our stunning townhouse. It combines its period character with tasteful modern improvements. Seconds from the Gertrude Street arts precinct, Smith Street cafes and transport, the two-storey townhouse features Adamson's exquisite plaster ceilings, Baltic floors, original staircase and ornamental fireplaces with a versatile floor plan.

Three upstairs bedrooms sleeping up to 8 guests, featuring a massive master bedroom with generous storage in the floor to ceiling built in robes. Grab a book and hideaway in the master on the reading chairs and coffee table. There is a TV in bedroom 2 and kids retreat in bedroom 3. A bathroom is located both upstairs and downstairs.

A sunlit living room with 55” Smart LED TV and free Wi-Fi is all yours to enjoy. There are plenty of books and magazines to flick through while snuggling up on the lounge or challenge your friends and family to a game of noughts and crosses.

The grand dining room is perfect for entertaining with a gorgeous solid wood table and impressive artworks adorning the walls. Leave the door open to the courtyard and enjoy the breeze along with seamless indoor-outdoor dining. The outdoor secluded courtyard for al fresco entertaining, with seating for 8 is an absolute winner and with an inbuilt gas BBQ, it makes cooking on those summer nights easy.

Downstairs there is a powder room with a stunning stained glass backdrop. A Bathroom with shower and bath and a European laundry complete with washing machine and clothes dryer. The main bathroom with shower and toilet is located upstairs. There is gas heating and ceiling fans in the kitchen and master bedroom. Bedroom 2 and 3, the living and dining room have a Split system in each room. This captivating residence on the East Melbourne border represents CBD living at its finest!

We also have a car permit available for on-street parking.

Solid timber Kitchen with stainless steel fridge, gas heater, ceiling fan, 6 burner gas stove and oven, premium appliances, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, saucepans and frying pans. The second bedroom with wall mounted TV and split system. Washing Machine and Dryer plus iron and ironing board. Outdoor secluded courtyard for al fresco entertaining. Master with wall to floor built in robes, gas heating and ceiling fan.

Smoking is permitted in the outside area but is strictly not allowed inside the house.

We provide you with a starter pack of essential house hold items such as toiletries, dish washing detergent, washing powder, dish cloths, scrubbing brush, paper towels and toilet paper on check in. You will then need to purchase all necessities for the continuation of your stay.

Security Deposit and Guest Information
Please note we will deduct $500 from your credit card 10 days prior to your arrival. This will then be returned upon inspection of the property after your departure. If we need to make a claim against your security deposit it covers an amount up to $1000, which may include but is not limited to the following:

Excess cleaning fees, Excess laundering fees (inc. sleeping directly on to doonas, pillows, mattresses), Dirty BBQ, Excess garbage removal, Damage or breakages at the property, Loss of keys or scanners and Late check-out.

Our rates are based on twin share. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed in advance. Please include all adults and children in your enquiry. If you have babies please advise their ages also.
Please note the property cannot accept guests under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a minimum of 2 adults, over the age of 25, present the whole stay. If this rule is breached, your security deposit will be forfeited and you may be evicted at any stage.
