Designed by Fremantle architects EDHO, the contemporary structure consists of three rectangular forms angled one above another. The house perches above multi-headed grass trees, Snottygobbles, Peppermint and Marri trees, offering spectacular views westward down the valley towards the Margaret River.
Inside the house is connected to the natural world by the framing of the windows. Upstairs on the open terrace the sunsets are spectacular, and later as it gets dark the night sky will absorb you in its deep stars. All three bedrooms have comfortable queen sized beds with quality sheets, pillows, soft doonas and rugs. Fluffy coloured towels are supplied for both indoor and beach use.
On the top floor adjacent the terrace, are two spacious bedrooms with windows that draw in the stars at night or the shapely vegetation by day. On the shelves you will find books to cover many interests. Enjoy discovering what you've always wanted to read but never had the time.
The generous bathroom on this floor serves both bedrooms. The room has a bath, toilet and shower. Whilst you luxuriate in the big bath gazing out onto the tree tops allow the stresses and strains to wash away and restore well-being. The spacious shower has its own picture window. The rain water from our tank will leave your skin and hair feeling fabulous.
The living area on the ground floor has a generous open fireplace warming the whole house in winter. To entertain you there is a large flat screen TV with satellite dish, Sony sound system, and a selection of classical and popular music (CDs and DVDs). Sit in a Danish rosewood Vodder chair with a glass of red and contemplate the artwork. Soak up the sun on the daybed with a book of your choice, or daydream – this house will enrich you and offer you a place to reconnect with your imagination.
