“boogoodoogada” is all about the sea, space, seclusion,
vast ever changing sky, panoramic views and the animals who live there...
Experience a remarkable, sculptural and serene waterfront dwelling with 270 degree sea views plus rural vistas surrounding you. See the sea from every window of this artists home.
Set within a 22 acre property on a private peninsula the home offers up to 6 people a rare coastal hideaway in expansive grounds surrounded on 3 sides by Westernport Bay and just 15 min drive to Phillip Island & Kilcunda ocean beaches.
Is very spacious inside and out :)
Outside - roam the hundreds of metres of private shoreline at gardens edge plus kilometres of shoreline beyond. If up early you may see racehorses training on the furthest end of the beach where dogs can also frolic off lead. Please notify us before bringing any pets.
At low tide you can wander across to an island near the home and at high tide paddle the 2 person canoe or solo kayak around the island or up the Bass River (3 Life jackets provided).
Meander along the paths around the property and you may spot a kangaroo, wombat, echidna and all sorts of native birds.
Be very quiet and kind to any animals you see!
Inside - the biggest living/dining area has lots of glass to enjoy the views on two sides and includes the kitchen with quality appliances and plenty of bench space so whipping up a meal is fun. The outlook from the sink makes one enjoy washing up (though fear not - there is a dishwasher).
To the east of the living /dining room is a QS bedroom with en-suite (bath & shower) plus separate toilet.
To the west of the living /dining room is a huge door that opens into the TV lounge that also has a small dining table and viewing lounge to relax and gaze out through the Beak.
Off this area is a QS bedroom, twin bedroom and shower room that includes laundry and separate toilet.
Off the main living area is the covered drive side deck with water views to the north and the open sea side deck to the south.

Depending on the season boogoodoogada is home to as many as 10,000 black swans and migratory birds who fly as far as 12,000km from Antarctica (and back!). There are many others from huge eagles right down to the tiniest garden birds. BYO binoculars to see them up close.
Nature’s stunning backdrop provides inspiration for artists, photographers, writers and especially those just wanting to relax and gaze in wonderment.
Enjoy the massive and ever changing sky - amazing cloud formations, starry nights, moon reflecting on water,
sunrise and sunset.
Maybe a whole rainbow from end to end or
maybe a big storm rolling in to get spooked by!
We love the night sounds - distant waves and odd plopping noises as the tide goes out, pobblebonk frogs plus the honkings, hootings and flapping of wings as you enjoy the twinkling villages across the bay with the lights off and the breeze through the fly screens. Ahhhhhhhh :)
This is NOT a party house thus is not available to those who wish to partake in noisy pursuits, wild cavorting or hooning around. Absolutely no fires, open flame, fireworks or weapons of any kind.
However, if you love and respect nature and seek a place to unwind, slow down and enjoy simple pleasures with loved ones then you will likely love this creative couples home which they built themselves.
Guests have access to all areas of the home except a locked cupboard & robe and full access to all of the 22 acres except the shed or the caretakers studio, which has its own driveway.
If there are no bookings either side we can extend it to a 1pm check in, 1 pm check out. Ask us close to the booking.
Interaction with guests
There should be no interruptions during your stay to ensure your privacy - interaction with the caretakers will only occur if required by you. If not on site a caretaker is normally on call to assist you if need be.
Rarely you might spot a birdwatcher or fisherman in the distance but the only other people with gate keys are Parks Victoria, SP Ausnet for power and Emergency Services.
Pets & Other Creatures
Dogs are allowed only by arrangement due to conservation law plus the safety of your dog and wildlife.
If your dog is obedient, fully house trained, immunised, absolutely has no fleas and is not one to chase other animals it will likely be OK to bring them. Just ask :)
No dogs allowed on sofas or beds please!
Ask about other pets.
