And for the history buffs, there is a unique museum near the boat ramp which showcases some of the early history. Captain Cook and Captain Bligh were some of the early visitors to Adventure Bay.
Or if you just want to walk or swim on our wonderful beaches, there is a track in front of the house which leads to Two Tree Point Beach. This is pristine and many times you are the only ones on it. The views and the sheer beauty of this island make it so special. You will definitely want to return again.
Adventure Bay is a small community of residents and 'shackies'. It is a safe neighbourhood with a relaxed and laid-back feel. It is the perfect spot for a chilled out weekend, or a base to do a spot of fishing in the bay. Crayfish, salmon, flathead and squid are commonly caught here. Safe swimming spots abound in this area for summer activities. In the cooler months, it is generally quieter with fewer visitors, however many people find this an even better time to spend some quiet time on vacation.
Getting to Adventure Bay is by ferry from Kettering. Once you arrive on the Island, it is a 30 minute drive to get to Adventure Bay. Once there, it is easy to get around on foot or by car.Get the full listing »
