CAN'T BEAT THIS LOCATION - A rare gem - experience the city like a local. Built in 1907, it's one of the largest historic houses that remains in Austin's super hip East Side. Right downtown, just 2 blocks from Rainey Street, coffee shops, restaurants, hiking/jogging trails, and Town Lake, this carefully restored house is a quiet oasis with space to spread out. Perfect for groups. 100 year old wood floors, sprawling porches, original shiplap walls, vintage details... it's unique!
Fully restored and renovated: 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, plenty of dining space, and covered porches both front and back of the house. Pecan trees shade the yards, and a custom modern fence maintains privacy around the entire property. Back yard has basketball, corn hole, and ladder ball. Foosball indoors.
How many people can comfortably sleep here?
This is our HOME, and it is designed for comfort.
Here's how it works:
BR1 - King bed
BR2 - King bed
BR 3 - Two Queen beds
BR 4 - Queen bed, room not photo'd yet
BR 5 - Two Queen beds, plus twin pullout sofa, plus extra floor mattress (best for a couple of kids).
Common area: Futon sofa
Three extra IKEA twin mattresses could be used anywhere. There is space in each of the king bedrooms or the blue/green upstairs queen bedroom to place an extra mattress on the floor.
Stay tuned for photos of the 5th bedroom. It's the smallest bedroom - cozy with a very comfy queen sized bed. Original shiplap walls. The room is about the size of a small European hotel room. It reminds me of a room I once rented in Madrid.
It's fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking gear, etc. We don't stock pantry items (food, condiments, etc. for guests. You'll need to provide your own.)
A tankless water heater means you'll never run out of hot water. Hooray!
The house has 3 full bathrooms and plenty of towels.
The outdoor spaces are my favorite feature of this house. We have tons of yard games to share, including corn hole, ping pong, ladder toss, and basketball. Shaded porches allow a group to spread out and enjoy the beautiful Texas weather.
Absolutely no parties. This is our home (not just a rental house), so please help us to take care of it. Everyone must obey the city rules, including the 10pm noise curfew.
We love our neighbors, and we love our neighborhood. We want to keep it that way. Please keep the noise indoors.Get the full listing »
