Dr. Timothy Giancarlo has been named president of The Allendale Community for Mature Living. Tim Giancarlo will replace his father, Dr. Hector R. Giancarlo, who is stepping down as president after nearly 50 years at Allendale's helm.
"I am very proud to make the announcement that my son, Tim, who has the experience, proven leadership and medical background will continue our family's leadership of the Allendale community," said Dr. Hector Giancarlo who will remain Chairman of the Board. "Just as important, Tim shares our family's deep commitment to providing high-quality care for older adults and helping them remain as active and self-sufficient as possible."

In 1991, the specialty hospital established The Hector R. Giancarlo, M.D. Center for Communicative Disorders in his honor. In addition, Dr. Giancarlo formerly served as a board member and president of the N.J. Department of Health's licensing board.
The flexible services offered at The Allendale Community include a full complement of hospitality services and enrichment programming. The Rehabilitation Center at The Allendale Community opened in 2006, offering sub-acute care to people of all ages who have suffered an injury or are recovering from an illness or surgical procedure.
To complement its superior on-site services, The Allendale Community has forged strong partnerships with area hospitals, including Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, Hackensack University Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y.
