Greetings, Friends! I am raising development funds for a narrative feature film, "The Miracle Man," based on the true and incredibly uplifting story of Morris E. Goodman.
THE STORY:

Morris Goodman was a successful insurance salesman. So successful, he bought himself his own airplane. On March 10, 1981, during his first solo flight in his new craft, the engine stopped, and he crashed the plane, crushing his spine, leaving him unable to walk, talk, swallow, breathe or move any part of his body except for his eyes. His doctors believed he would live a short, meaningless life, if he survived at all.

Morris had different plans...

What Morris had was his mind, and his faith that one day he would walk out on his own two feet, and make a full recovery, no matter what his doctors told him. Using the same step-by-step, goal-oriented approach he took in his career, Morris began to calculate the steps he needed to make toward recovery. He set a goal to be home by Christmas of that same year. He succeeded before Thanksgiving, just eight months after the accident...
STATUS OF THE PROJECT:

I have interviewed Morris E. Goodman and have the rights to his story for a motion picture. I need development funds for legal fees, casting fees, professional script consultants, budget analyses, festival and contest submissions, travel expenses and more.

I firmly believe this film will not only entertain, but also encourage people to evaluate their own lives and take the steps they need to take to achieve their goals. After all, this is exactly what Morris' story has done for me.

Won't you help bring this uplifting tale to the big screen and inspire millions worldwide?

A SPECIAL CAUSE - OVER AND BEYOND THE $10K:

Some of you who know me personally may know that I recently participated in the Purple Stride 5K Walk in Parsippany, NJ to benefit my friend, Lance Esbin, who had been fighting Pancreatic Cancer for the past four years. And after this long, hard struggle, Lance sadly lost his battle on December 28, 2010.

To further complicate things, neither Lance nor his wife Serpil had been able to work due to his condition, and the family is now facing severe financial hardships, on top of the physical, mental and emotional hardships of coping with cancer and, now, their loss.

During this time that I am trying to raise funds for the development of my film, "The Miracle Man," I cannot help but think about how much I would like to be able to help out the Esbin family any way I can. A call has been put out for any financial contributions to be sent to the family. If you are interested in contributing directly to the Esbin family, you may send a check made out to Serpil Esbin to:

Racheal Braun (c/o Esbin Family)
35 Lorraine Dr.
Clifton, NJ 07012

I have also decided that I will contribute any funds I raise from IndieGoGo.com over and above the $10,000 goal directly to the Esbin family.

If you have already made a pledge, thank you very much! Please pass this message on to others so that I might achieve my goal, and please consider an additional donation to the Esbin family if you are able.

If you have been considering making a pledge, please do so now.

WHAT IF I DON'T REACH MY GOAL?

The nice thing about IndieGoGo is if I do not meet my $10,000 goal, I still get what I raise. After a recent "unsuccessful" (if you can call it that!) campaign, I raised $7,262, most of that in the last minute. But since I didn't reach the $10K goal, I got nothing. If everyone from that campaign repeats their pledge, I'll still have enough to get started, but more would be better, and the rest can go to help the Esbin Family. Any amount, from $1 to $10,000 will be accepted, and will be a great help.

Yes, even a single dollar.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

The great last-minute push on my recent campaign all came from great word-of-mouth - on Facebook, Twitter, e-mails, forums, podcasts, etc. Please help me get the word out and make some noise about my campaign. There are some great share tools here too - check them out!

Please don't forget that I am not simply asking for something without giving anything in return. In addition to my unending gratitude (which will be expressed in the credits in the film and on IMDB.com), you will also receive rewards such as a digital copy of the screenplay, T-shirts, autographed posters, DVD's and more.

Thank you very much for your consideration, and again, please consider contributing directly to the Esbin family as well.

Hope you are having a wonderful and prosperous 2011! Thank you so much for your involvement!!!

Sincerely,
Brian Jude
