Do you want a chance to own a part of the street on which you live or own a piece of "Livingston,
New Jersey" history? Were you born and raised in town? Did you meet your husband, wife, boyfriend
or girlfriend at a special street corner? Do you want to use your first or last name as wall art or for a
special event centerpiece? Are you interested in buying a Dead End or South Livingston Avenue
sign? Then check out the auction that will be held on the Livingston Skate Park's web site at
www.livingstonskatepark.org and the town web site at www.livingstonnj.org from Monday,
December 8 through Monday, December 15, 2008. The auction bidding will start at only $25.00 per
sign. The auction will be run by eBay and payment for the signs will be made through PayPal.

The Township of Livingston has generously donated hundreds of Livingston's recently replaced street
signs to the Skate Park Committee so that the signs can be auctioned to raise funds for the proposed
Livingston Municipal Skate Park. The Committee has been working on this project under the
auspices of HCHY. Because the condition of the streets signs vary, each one will be individually
posted on the auction site along with a photograph and number (except if only one sign is available for
purchase). Many streets will have as many as five signs available for purchase, but unfortunately
some streets will not have any. For a preview of the signs, please see the video on
www.livingstonskatepark.org.

The date and time period for pick-up will be posted on the Skate Park web
site. Anyone interested in bidding but without Internet access will be able to use a computer in
the Livingston Library free of charge. Arrangements have been made for those that are "computer
challenged" to take part in the auction process with the help of volunteers. Call the Skate Park Hotline
at (973) 992-6411 for locations, dates and times.

Whether you currently live in town or have moved elsewhere, you should consider buying a street sign
as a cherished memory of the special times you spent in Livingston. The Committee would greatly
appreciate if residents spread the word about the auction so that people who have moved away from
town can find out about the event. A street sign would also make a great holiday gift.

Besides the street sign auction, the fundraising effort for the proposed Skate Park continues. Cash
donations are welcome and will also be matched dollar for dollar by the United Way of North Essex.
Checks should be made payable to "United Way of North Essex" and include "Livingston Skate Park"
in the memo section of the check.

If you have any questions, please call Alan Karpas on the Skate Park Hotline at (973) 992-6411.
