Cushman & Wakefield Adds Two Project Managers to N.J. Team
Industry Veterans Bruni and D’Amico Supporting Construction-Related Needs
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., has expanded its New Jersey team with the addition of two seasoned project management professionals. Luciano Bruni of Franklin Lakes, N.J., and Steven D’Amico of Ramsey, N.J., came on board this winter as senior project directors in the company’s Corporate Occupier Services practice in East Rutherford.
In their new roles, D’Amico and Bruni are supporting Cushman & Wakefield’s brokerage and property management professionals with any construction-related requirements. This includes preparing budgets and schedules for proposals to potential clients, as well as running entire build-out or ground-up projects for existing customers—including planning, design and construction team assembly, and coordinating implementation from start to finish.
“Real estate services today has many moving parts, and we continually work to ensure that New Jersey’s tenants, investors, property owners and developers can rely on us for any and all of their space-related needs,” said Gualberto “Gil” Medina, the firm’s New Jersey executive managing director. “In that respect, Steven and Luciano have taken our construction oversight capabilities to the next level. Their deep expertise in keeping projects and people moving forward efficiently and in sync already is greatly appreciated by our team and our clients.”
Bruni’s 22 years of experience span all facets of the real estate process, from site acquisition, contract execution, design, project/construction management, and building delivery in the office, retail and healthcare sectors. As an accomplished real estate and construction executive, he has deep expertise in the coordination of capital projects, budget and cost analysis, the RFP and bidding processes, design and space planning, code compliance, value engineering and contract and lease negotiations. Bruni serves as an advisory board member for Saint Clare’s Hospital in Sussex, N.J. He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology.
“Steven’s and my role brings a safety net of sorts to Cushman & Wakefield’s clients,” Bruni explained. “We specialize in understanding what it will take to accomplish a job, including the cost ramifications and timing constraints. We can help determine the best course of action to make sure that money is spent wisely, which is critical in today’s economy. Collaborating with the many Cushman & Wakefield professionals gives the project management team an advantage in winning assignments and giving the client a complete level of service.”
D’Amico has more than 20 years of project management experience in the commercial real estate and life sciences industries. He has worked in senior positions as a project manager, manufacturing engineer, and business development professional for some of the world’s largest and most well respected construction and project management firms. D’Amico currently serves as assistant executive director of the Construction Roundtable (CRT) of New Jersey. He holds a bachelor’s degree in project management from the Colorado Technical Institute as well as advanced electronics training from the United States Navy.
D’Amico noted that Cushman & Wakefield has embraced its new project management team. “The brokers, especially, have been active in bringing us into their assignments,” D’Amico said. “The people here are outstanding, and the diversity in the market sectors they service has made for a great variety in the types of projects we are seeing. We expect that as the industry’s recovery truly takes hold, demand for our service will become even stronger.”
